    BUGGY SOFTWARE-BUT OUTSTANDING SUPPORT

Let me start by saying "take a pass on this!" The software is very buggy and dramaticly slows down the computer. Certain programs also complete shuts down Adobe Photoshop CS3 when you try to apply an effect. It is FAR TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS! Basicly using Photoshop's own tools in their interface to create the result. There are several programs in the suite but I find them disappointingly simple and basic in execution. For example, Skin Tunes basicly just warms up ALL skin tones to try and make subjects look more appealing regardless of their 'presets' of 5 different skin types. Absolutely no varying from that formula, VERY LAME!Focal Point does NOT provide any better or more 'out of focus' area than can be done with Photoshop alone with just a little more work. Very Disappointing!! Also file sizes become prohibitively HUGE!Photo Tools is basicly Photoshop filters but in OnOne's interface and is no where near as usable as NIK's Color Efex... 1/5 H. 0 1/5 SonicAddiction "Relax, Don't Do It" - See all my reviews This review is from: Plug-In Suite 4 - Full [Old Version] (CD-ROM) OnOne has this third party activation program you need to activate your program for it to work. It has a tendency to disappear and you are left with grayed out commands. The activation seems to become buggy with time and you are left with a non working program. I wasted a lot of money purchasing their products and will never again buy any software from this company 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 7, 2009

Makes me look like a pro

0 4/5 AndrewJackson - See all my reviews This review is from: Onone Software Perfect Photo Suite Lightroom and Apple Aperture Edition Version 7.5 (CD-ROM) Lightroom is my image organizer and color correction too...but when I want to take an image to the next level and show to a client I finish using onOne. I use the Effects module the most, but Mask and Resize have really come in handy on a few projects.Overall its a fantastic program, sleek interface, easy to use, very minimalistic. The manufacture offers tons of free training videos on their website. I have gone from amateur to professional and I could not have done it without these programs. Overall a fantastic app I only wish they had something for noise reduction. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 1, 2013

    "Perfect" fit for my lightroom

0 5/5 LeonardBuilder - See all my reviews This review is from: Onone Software Perfect Photo Suite Lightroom and Apple Aperture Edition Version 7.5 (CD-ROM) I purchased this product after a recommendation from a friend. I have to say it is great to have along with my lightroom software. One of the best features is allowing me to work with layered files, something you can't do unless you want to fork out money for Photoshop. It also includes a lot of black and white effects, along with a different effects for color adjustments. I recently used the portrait retouching on a family photo and it was able to detect all the faces in the photo and make the corrections needed - automatically! I didn't have to do much more to the photo as it did it all for me. I find the more I use this software the more time I am saving when editing photos. I would highly recommend this to anyone and plan on getting a few more of my photo friends to take a look. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 1, 2013

More than surprised by the features!

I have been looking at components of onOne software products for several years. I was given a version of PhotoTools as a gift but it required a higher grade video card than I had at the time. I have had an 8G gaming level computer for more than a year so I looked into onOne software once again.I am at near professional level skill with Photoshop and anytime I reviewed the onOne software via online websites I was not impressed that what I saw was worth the steep price. Looking at the onOne website ad photos (the 'before and after' shots), I didn't see the point..."I can do that on Photoshop"...is all I could think. In the past two months I came across several free online 'webinars' of onOne and xRite product features used in photo printing and editing tutorials. I could see that even if the features in the onOne Suite did not produce a better result than I can achieve in PS, it performs difficult selections, sharpening, enlargements, framing and portrait editing... 5/5 ejackson21st (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews This review is from: Plug-in Suite 5 [Old Version] (DVD-ROM) I have been looking at components of onOne software products for several years.
